What happens
Irma Peterson and her roommate Jane Stacy plan a Thanksgiving turkey dinner for their boyfriends, Richard and Al, while keeping it secret from their landlady, Mrs. O'Reilly. Jane has received a letter from Richard, her former employer, who will return to New York for the holiday. The plan runs into trouble when Irma comes home with a live turkey she has named George, and the roommates must figure out what to do with it before Mrs. O'Reilly, who forbids pets, discovers it. Meanwhile the professor and Mrs. O'Reilly continue their bickering. The episode is from the My Friend Irma radio series, first broadcast by CBS Radio on November 15, 1948, starring Marie Wilson as Irma and Cathy Lewis as Jane, with Hans Conried and Alan Reed.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
