What happens
Irma Peterson is convinced she is seriously ill, and her roommate Jane Stacy tries to humor and then reason with her. Jane is about to leave for a business trip to Chicago, and her boss Richard has offered her the chance. Irma's boyfriend Al drops by, and a parade of visitors, including a professor and a doctor, weighs in on her condition. Their neighbor Merwin also arrives, convinced he has measles, and the apartment becomes noisier and more crowded. Fast-paced comedy follows Irma's antics throughout the evening.
A New York City apartment shared by Irma and Jane, on the evening before Jane's planned trip to Chicago.
Characters: Irma Peterson, Jane Stacy, Richard, Al, Professor Kravatki, Merwin, Dr. Miller

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
