What happens

Professor Edwards, his daughter Lorna and his assistant Jack Martin are camped in the African jungle with Nguuru, a Maasai prince. Lorna has been found walking in a trance, and after she is tied to her bed she vanishes while the ropes remain intact. Jack and the professor track her through the bush at night, and the professor wonders whether a witch doctor has offended him. Jack finds a large snake near Lorna, and the group works to get her back to camp. Lorna explains that she has been feeling an urge to walk out of camp, and the group faces lions while trying to reach safety. This is the first part of the 1935 episode 'Jungle Trance' from the series Moon Over Africa, which aired on March 30, 1935.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
