What happens
Mrs. Gregory and her companions are transporting the Eucredians from their underwater city aboard the steamer Gregory boat, bound for a scientific colony in the United States. Joan, Jerry, and Captain Bradford oversee the crossing, and the Eucredians settle quietly into their quarters below deck. As the boat gets under way, Captain Bradford reports that G-47, one of the Eucredian chief scientists, has not been seen boarding and may still be hidden somewhere in the city. Mrs. Gregory and Joan wait for further news as the search continues.
