What happens
Mrs. Gregory, her daughter Joan, Captain Bradford and Jerry Hall are held in the underwater city of Euclidea, far below the South Pacific. After a soundproofed room seems to swallow Jerry and the captain, the group finds the apartment has been changed and a radio installed. They tune in a Los Angeles news broadcast in which their former associate Clyde Johnson describes the Magic Island as destroyed in a volcanic eruption, with the Gregory party lost. The Magic Island series is the setting, and this installment is the one shown here. The episode's original air date and lead actors are not given in the transcript.
The underwater city of Euclidea, 400 feet below the South Pacific Ocean, and a Los Angeles radio news broadcast.
Characters: Mrs. Gregory, Joan, Captain Bradford, Jerry Hall, Clyde Johnson
Listen for: The soundproofed room that seems to swallow Jerry and the captain, and Clyde Johnson's broadcast declaring the Magic Island destroyed.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
