What happens
Mrs. Gregory, Captain Bradford, Jerry Hall and Joan Gregory return by boat to the artificial island of Eucidia, ruled by G-47 and his scientists. Their vessel is drawn through an artificial fog bank toward the island's piers. Captain Bradford tells Jerry privately that he suspects G-47 has laid plans for them. He says he intends to request an audience with G-47 after they land, and that he has brought no materials with him. The group anticipates being given quarters and freedom of the island, and they prepare for the arrival of their magnetically guided boat at the pier.
The magic island of Eucidia, an artificial island over 4,000 miles from Los Angeles, approached by boat through a surrounding fog bank.
