What happens
Mrs. Gregory, her daughter Joan, Captain Bradford and Jerry Hall sail out of Los Angeles harbor aboard their boat after a strange radio warning from the young commander of a Euchitian submarine. She has said that Thales, the Euchitian electrical wizard, is on board. Captain Bradford searches the small vessel and finds no one hidden there. Joan begins to doubt the crew, questioning the cook Jim Lowe and the engineer Peterson, whom the captain and Mrs. Gregory have known for years. Joan studies Peterson's heavy glasses and wonders about his past. The captain decides that Joan and Mrs. Gregory must stay locked in their cabin while Jerry and the captain take turns watching the engineer.
A small motor boat leaving Los Angeles harbor and heading out into the open sea, with its cabins, radio room and cramped hold.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
