What happens
Magic Island: Joan Stays On The Yacht. The Gregory yacht is tied up at a pier on the island of Euclidia after an expedition that had reunited a lost girl, Joan, with her mother, Mrs. Gregory. Mrs. Gregory, Joan, Gailie Hall and Captain Tex Bradford gather in the mother's cabin to discuss their failed attempt to outwit the mad scientist G-47. They realize they are effectively prisoners, with no outside rescue apparent. Tex reveals that he has ordered Johnson not to attempt a rescue, since G-47 heard the message, and Joan explains the island's terrible weapons and the fate of an old sailor's diary. The conversation turns to Joan's unfamiliar speech and to the diary's possible hiding place.
