What happens
A traveler named Lockwood is caught in a snowstorm on the moors and takes shelter at Wuthering Heights, an isolated old manor house. The servant Ellen tells him the story of the household, beginning with the arrival of a homeless gypsy boy, Heathcliff, adopted by Mr. Earnshaw. Heathcliff grows up alongside Kathy, the Earnshaws' daughter, and the two form a deep bond despite the cruelty of Kathy's brother Hindley. The episode is a Lux Radio Theatre broadcast of Emily Bronte's novel, aired November 4, 1940, with Ida Lupino as Kathy and Basil Rathbone as Heathcliff.
