What happens
Prince Mikhail and Grand Duchess Tatiana, exiled Russian nobles in Paris, are left penniless after their money is confiscated. Forced to find work, they answer a newspaper advertisement and are hired as butler and maid in the household of banker Charles DuPont and his wife. The couple's pride, poverty and awkward attempts at service form the core of the story. The episode is a 1939 Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Tovarich, starring William Powell and Miriam Hopkins, and is presented from Hollywood. Its first part sets up the couple's hardship and their comic clashes with the DuPont household.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
