What happens

During a flood, a convent and hospital at Our Lady of Grace shelter villagers, including a condemned woman, Valerie Khan, under guard and awaiting execution. Mother Superior and Sister Mary oversee the refuge while tensions rise among staff and patients. Sister Mary begins to doubt the verdict against Valerie and searches for the truth about her brother's death. The Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Thunder on the Hill, broadcast November 9, 1953, stars Claudette Colbert as Sister Mary and Barbara Rush as Valerie Khan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
