What happens

Cherry Chester, a temperamental Hollywood film star, is summoned to New York by her grandmother, Lucy Van Steed, who is pressing her toward a match with her cousin Horace. On the train she meets Anthony Amberton, a famous author and explorer, and the two strike up an unexpected rapport. In New York, Cherry tries to escape her grandmother's plans and her own celebrity, while Anthony seeks solitude away from his fans and publisher. This is the Lux Radio Theatre production of the 1941 comedy The Moon's Our Home, broadcast on February 10, 1941, starring Carol Lombard and James Stewart.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
