What happens
Richard Hane, a man accused of murder, is drawn into a dangerous search after a fellow theatergoer, Annabella Smith, tells him of a foreign agent hunting a vital air defense secret. Hane hides in her flat, then flees by train to Scotland, where he meets Pamela Stewart, who agrees to pose as his wife to slip past the police. This episode of the Lux Radio Theatre, first broadcast on December 13, 1937, stars Robert Montgomery as Hane and Ida Lupino as Pamela, with Isabelle Jewel as Annabella and Jean Lockhart as Mr. Memory. The play adapts the British film based on John Buchan's novel.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
