What happens
Guy Haynes, a tennis player and assistant to a senator, meets the eager and talkative Bruno Anthony on a northbound train from Washington. Bruno proposes a chilling scheme in which strangers swap murders, and Guy dismisses it as a joke. Guy then meets his estranged wife Miriam to discuss their divorce, and she refuses to give him one. This Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Strangers on a Train, broadcast on 1951-12-03, stars Ray Milland, Ruth Roman and Frank Lovejoy. The story follows Guy's dealings with Bruno and his own wife, Anne Morton, as Guy's situation grows more tangled.

Listen for: Bruno's proposal on the train for swapping murders between strangers.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
