What happens
Dr. Constance Peterson, a staff psychiatrist at the Green Manors sanatorium in rural Vermont, becomes suspicious when the new chief of staff, Dr. Edwards, seems unsure of himself and his patient Mr. Garmes is convinced he killed his father. Constance and the new doctor grow close, but after a night of disturbing events, the staff learn that Dr. Edwards is not who he claims to be. This is the Lux Radio Theatre production of Spellbound, broadcast on March 8, 1948, starring Joseph Cotton and Valli. The story follows the imposter's search for his own identity and Constance's efforts to help him.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
