What happens
Federal agent Fulton arrives in Wyoming to capture the outlaw Bascom, whose gang has split up after a raid on the town. Bascom's men hide among a Mormon wagon train, where Emmy, a small girl, is taken in by its members. Ezekiel Smith and Jonathan Briggs have joined the caravan after a killing, and a wounded young outlaw named Jimmy is discovered near the wagons. Rumors of a fifteen-thousand-dollar gold hoard among the travelers draw the gang's attention, and Bascom sets out to find it. The episode is the first part of Lux Radio Theatre's 1948 adaptation of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film Bad Bascom, starring Wallace Beery and Margaret O'Brien.
The Wyoming territory after the Civil War, in the high plains and mountains, with a Mormon wagon train travelling through the valley.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
