What happens
George Taylor, a former Marine who has lost his memory after a war injury, searches for his identity in Los Angeles. He finds a letter from a man named Larry Cravat, whose name leads him to a bank deposit of five thousand dollars and to a nightclub run by Mel Phillips. There he meets Christy Smith, a singer who has her own reasons to look for Cravat, and the two team up as the pursuit of Cravat draws in threats and a lieutenant named Kendall. This is the Lux Radio Theatre broadcast of Somewhere in the Night, adapted from the 1947 20th Century Fox film, with John Hodiak and Lynn Bari in the leading roles, and its original air date was March 3, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
