What happens
Larry Briggs, Mike Harris and Pete Rocco, three former bomber crewmen, are in Shanghai in 1946 when Mike, badly injured, is told by doctors he has only months to live. Seeking to give him a last good time, Larry and Pete accept a ten-thousand-dollar flying job from a mysterious Mr. Meredith. The job brings them into contact with Susan Cleaver, a woman whose briefcase and secrets draw the attention of the police. This is the Lux Radio Theatre's 1949 adaptation of Saigon, broadcast on September 5, 1949, with John Lund as Larry and Elizabeth Scott as Susan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
