What happens
Elizabeth Cheney, a struggling actress, meets Jared Ockhart, a former antique dealer who has just lost his shop and has nowhere to live. Ockhart shares a sheltered valley in Central Park with Maurice Rosenwald, a down-on-his-luck violinist. The three form an unlikely household, sharing scarce food and warmth through the winter. This is an episode of Lux Radio Theatre, broadcast on June 29, 1953, starring Jean Crane as Elizabeth, in Robert Nathan's romance One More Spring. The account here covers only the first part of the story.

Listen for: Elizabeth's encounter with Jared outside his antique shop, and the arrangement that brings the three homeless characters together in the park
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
