What happens

Larry Haynes, a vaudeville performer with a penguin act, finds himself caught up in a spy plot when Karen Bentley, a British agent, passes him a hidden microdot-carrying scorpion pin on a train. Karen is pursued by agents who want the secret, and Larry, who knows nothing of the matter, is drawn into the chase across the country. The story is presented on Lux Radio Theatre on 19 October 1942, with Bob Hope as Larry Haynes and Virginia Bruce as Karen Bentley, adapted from the Paramount film My Favorite Blonde. Larry is soon pursued himself, and the tale grows more dangerous as bodies and clues turn up.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
