What happens

Kitty and Jack Moran, a married radio comedy team, are childless after Kitty loses a baby in an accident and learns she cannot have another. Seeking a child, they approach the Sarah Wilson Foundation, whose nurse Miss Gilbert questions their fitness as adoptive parents because they are stage performers. Their search takes them through a rocky round of visits, including a meeting with their friends Janet and Walter, who have adopted several children, and a quick, unofficial offer that tests the couple's resolve. Kitty and Jack's wish for a family pulls them in different directions as they weigh the costs of their decision. This Lux Radio Theatre play, broadcast on February 25, 1952, stars Betty Grable and Dan Daily.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
