What happens
Doctor William Wright and his new bride, Jane Morgan, begin their married life in a house he bought without seeing it, and Jane struggles to be the perfect wife while lacking medical knowledge. Bill's former office assistant, Helen Porter, is a looming presence in his professional past, and Jane's confidence is tested by the attention of his friends and her own feelings of inadequacy. Lux Radio Theatre presents this 1954 radio adaptation of the 20th Century Fox comedy-drama, first broadcast on November 16, 1954, with Dorothy McGuire as Jane and Frank Lovejoy as Bill.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
