What happens
In London, a few weeks after the war, Alan Quinton, a former soldier, drinks at a party in the flat of Dilly Carson and admits he once wrote love letters to a woman named Victoria for a fellow soldier, Roger Moreland. Alan travels to the country home he has inherited and then to Long Reach, where he hears troubling things about the Remington family. He meets a young woman named Singleton, a friend of Dilly's, who seems to have no memory of her past. The story is drawn from the Lux Radio Theatre's 1946 broadcast of Love Letters, starring Loretta Young and Joseph Cotton, and was first aired on April 22, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
