Coach George Cooper returns home after another losing football game at Good Old State University, where his team is struggling. His wife Liz and younger daughter Ellen try to lift his spirits while he deals with alumni advice and the team's problems. Meanwhile his older daughter Connie, convinced she is unpopular with boys, shuts herself in her room and refuses to come down to dinner. This episode of Lux Radio Theatre, first broadcast on March 20, 1950, stars Paul Douglas and Maureen O'Hara, with Betty Lynn as Connie. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
