What happens
Catherine Hilliard, the serious dean of the Hilliard School of Music in Philadelphia, travels to New York to arrange a Christmas concert with conductor Herbert Benham. On the train she clashes with bandleader Barry Clayton, who mocks her as cold and unappealing. Benham sends her to a beauty salon, where her hair and clothes are transformed. Catherine then goes out to a nightclub, where she meets Barry Clayton and singer Jimmy Hale, both of whom suddenly take an interest in her. The first half of this radio drama, adapted from the film Do You Love Me?, is starring Marina Hera as Catherine, Dick Haymes as Jimmy and Barry Sullivan as Barry. It aired on December 23, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
