What happens

George Raft plays himself in this Lux Radio Theatre production of Broadway, presented by Cecil B. DeMille, with Lloyd Nolan and Janet Blair in the cast. Back in New York, George visits the site of the old Paradise nightclub, where he once worked as a dancer. He recalls the rehearsals there, the fast-living showgirls and the troubles of his partner Billy Moore, who has become close to the rich and dangerous Steve Crandall. The story of their careers and the rivalries around them is told through these scenes of 1920s Broadway.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
