What happens

Richard Aiken, a conservative man, has just become engaged to the celebrated actress Susan Darryl, and he knows little about her past. He invites three men from her history, producer Roger Burton, Mike Ward, and writer William Anthony, to dinner so they can tell him what they know. Each man begins to describe Susan from his own experience, starting with Roger's account of their first meeting on a remote island. The Lux Radio Theatre presents this adaptation of the Paramount film The Affairs of Susan, with Joan Fontaine as Susan, George Brent as Roger Burton and Don DeFore as Mike Ward. The original air date is October 29, 1945.

Listen for: Roger's account of how he first met Susan on the island and their early days together

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
