What happens
Lum and Abner, the residents of Pine Ridge, try to make money in their small community. Grandpa Spears decides to earn cash by telling fortunes at Cedric's lemonade stand, using a junior fortune teller's guide from the library, and he mangles the names and ages of the people he reads for. Meanwhile Squire Skimp reports that a building contractor, Gregory W. Dubbs, has agreed to supervise the construction of the Wonderful World Apartments for nothing. Lum and Abner are delighted by the news, and the community looks forward to its new housing. This is the Lum and Abner radio serial, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the lead roles, first broadcast on April 28, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
