What happens

Luigi Basko, a newly arrived Italian immigrant in an American city, is frustrated that his neighborhood corner at a busy intersection has no traffic light, after a man is struck there. He writes a letter to the newspaper asking for one, and the letter brings him attention from his friend Pasquale, a police officer, and local politicians. Luigi's efforts draw warnings that he is causing trouble, and he goes to seek help from the traffic engineering department. Life with Luigi is a comedy series that first aired on April 4, 1950, starring J. Carrol Naish as Luigi and Alan Reed as Pasquale.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
