What happens
Luigi Vasco, newly arrived in America, writes home to his mother about his life in New York. His Uncle Pietro, who has no warm overcoat, is the focus of his worries, and Luigi sets out to find one for him. At his school, a spelling lesson gives him a chance to daydream about the cold. Later, a friend named Pasquale offers him a stack of fancy coats in exchange for a favor, and Luigi's plans take several unexpected turns as he tries to help his uncle.
New York, 1950, with Luigi's school, a restaurant, and a neighborhood of shops and streets.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
