What happens
Riley returns home on Christmas Eve to find that he has invited his boss's son, Roswell Stevenson, to spend the holiday with his family, and the household is none too pleased. Roswell is a difficult, snobbish guest, and Riley's wife Peg and daughter Junior are irritated at having to host him. Riley tries to teach Roswell the spirit of the season while the family decorates the tree. This episode of The Life of Riley, starring William Bendix, was first broadcast on December 24, 1944, on the Blue Network and ABC, and NBC.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
