What happens
Chester A. Riley, a worker who prefers to avoid chores, is pressed by his wife Peg to mow the lawn on a busy Saturday, since she is busy with the community dance committee. Their neighbour Luella Lonesberry, who wants the job done, persuades Riley to mow her lawn, and Peg sees him helping her and grows jealous. Riley tries to explain himself with a half-truth about Luella's health, which only complicates matters. The episode is part of the long-running radio comedy The Life of Riley, first broadcast on May 26, 1950, on the Blue Network and ABC and NBC, starring William Bendix as Riley, with Paula Winslowe and Alan Reed in the cast.
A residential street and the Riley household, and the community dance organised by the neighbourhood committee.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
