What happens
Riley's daughter Babs wants to attend a Sadie Hawkins dance at her UCLA sorority and asks boys for dates, but a neighbor overhears her being turned down. Riley decides she needs help and hires an escort from an escort bureau to take her to the opera. When Peg Riley, who has been left at home, is told the escort is her husband's cousin, the evening takes a confusing turn. The episode is part of the long-running radio series The Life of Riley, first broadcast on November 18, 1949, starring William Bendix as Riley, with Paula Winslowe as Peg. Riley and Peg argue about what happened on the evening out, and the story turns on whether Riley can trust his wife.

Listen for: Riley's escalating suspicion that Peg has been unfaithful, and his insistence that she tell him what happened
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
