What happens

Jerry and Jason Robin are at the circus when Jason returns to the ring after an injury. Jim Bennett urgently tells Mr. Randall that the workers may strike, and a note demanding higher wages has been slipped under his door. Mr. Randall rejects the demands, reasoning that the men do not understand the winter expenses the show must cover. He then asks Jerry to quietly listen around the canvas men and stakers to learn who is stirring up the trouble.

A traveling circus, in its ring, ticket wagon and office wagon.

Characters: Jerry, Jason Robin, Mr. Randall, Jim Bennett, Boris, Jeff, Murray

Listen for: Jim Bennett's report of the strike threat and Mr. Randall's refusal to meet the workers' demands.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
