What happens

Jerry and Uncle Dan of the circus are working on a plan to limit free passes so cash customers can get seats. Meanwhile, the clown Tony arrives in distress after his monkey wandered into the zoo's monkey cage and the keeper cannot tell which animal is his. Tony recounts how he tried to take the monkey to visit its relatives, only to be turned away from streetcars and then left without his pet. Jerry and Mr. Randall discuss how to get the monkey back before the matinee, and Jerry proposes a scheme that involves the clown band playing near the cage.

A circus lot and grounds, including the menagerie, with a trip to a city zoo.

Characters: Jerry, Uncle Dan, Tony, Mr. Randall, Jack Hastings, Boris Rousseau

Listen for: Tony's account of his monkey getting into the zoo's monkey cage, and Jerry's plan to get the monkey back with the clown band.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
