What happens
Jerry and Rags, the circus performers, learn that Mr. Randall has delayed the payment of salaries, and Jerry worries about him. Their old friend Spike returns to the circus, freed from prison, and Jerry is glad to see him. Later, Randall explains that counterfeit money has been passed at the fair, and that he kept the day's cash in hand to protect the payroll. Jerry discusses circus acts and how they are handed down, and he talks with Randall about giving former convicts a second chance.
A traveling circus, including its midway, sideshow area, and wagons, during an afternoon and evening show.

Listen for: Spike's return from prison, and Mr. Randall's explanation of the counterfeit money and the delayed salaries.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
