What happens
Jerry and Tom watch Mr. Rogers' racehorse Blaze prepare for a big race the next evening. The horse's trainer, Mr. Rogers, explains that Blaze is sensitive and has a reputation from his years in the fire department. Warren, the jockey, takes Blaze out for a timed workout on the track, and the result is disappointing. The boys then leave the workout to head toward a fire at a lunch stand near the entrance. Mr. Rogers is worried about the race and what it means for him.
A racetrack and horse stable, the morning before a big race
Characters: Jerry, Tom, Mr. Rogers, Warren, Blaze
Listen for: The timed workout on the track and what happens when Blaze hears the fire bell
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
