What happens
Jerry of the Circus follows the Bendini family, a wire-walking act with Randall's Greater Shows. They receive a telegram from Hollywood offering them ten weeks in a circus picture with an option for more work. Carlos and Alfredo are eager to accept, but Mr. Randall first insists they must finish their contract for the season. Randall finally releases them and arranges for the Lopez troop to replace them. The Bendinis say their farewells to the circus folk, including Jerry, Bumps and Tom, before leaving for Hollywood, and Jerry and Tom then talk about Colonel Algier, the advance agent who is about to join the show.
Randall's Greater Shows circus grounds and dressing-room wagons, and a taxi ride to a westbound train, with a telegram from Hollywood.
Characters: Carlos Bendini, Alfredo Bendini, Carmen Bendini, Mr. Randall, Jerry, Bumps, Tom, Colonel Algier
Listen for: Mr. Randall releasing the Bendinis from their contract, and Jerry and Tom's talk about Colonel Algier at the end.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
