What happens

Jerry and Patsy, performers with a traveling circus, watch the night show from the wings. Carmen, a tightrope walker, has been receiving threatening notes telling her to leave the circus, and her brothers Carlos and Alfredo are trying to learn who is sending them. Earlier, a box of onions was delivered to Carmen as a prank, angering Major. During the show, the circus generator fails and the lights flicker and go out over the performers, while Jason, a wild animal trainer, prepares for his act in the arena.

A traveling circus under the big top, at dinner in the mess tent and then during an evening performance, where the generator keeps failing.

Characters: Jerry, Patsy, Bumps, Carmen, Major, Carlos, Alfredo, Jason

Listen for: Listen for the threatening notes sent to Carmen, the flickering lights during the performance, and Jason's act with the big cats.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
