What happens

Jerry and Patsy help Clara, a costume maker at the circus, after valuable items are stolen from the wardrobe tent. Clara lists the missing gold cymbal, a braid and jewels, and Jerry suggests sweeping the sawdust from the floor so footprints can be found. Jerry arranges to speak with the night watchman, and he and Rags watch the wardrobe that evening. The episode is part of the Jerry of the Circus series, originally broadcast on July 16, 1937.

A traveling circus, including its wardrobe tent, the lot, and the circus restaurant.

Characters: Jerry, Patsy, Clara, Rags, Randall Knight, Bumps, Major Mike

Listen for: Jerry's suggestion to sweep away the sawdust so footprints can be found, and the watchman's conversation with Jerry.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
