What happens
Cadet Jerry Duke arrives at Fair Oaks military academy and settles into his first evening with his roommate, Lee Phillips. They meet Captain Duncan, the cadet officer of the day, and then Major Davis, who asks Jerry to study the cadet rules and regulations. Jerry learns about inspections and the school's traditions, including the great oak known as Davis Oak. When Jerry's new classmates pester him for stories about his circus life, Lee and Jerry get caught playing a radio after taps, and Jerry learns that the cadets handle their own discipline.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
