What happens

Jack Benny learns that Warner Brothers plans a feature film about his life, and his friends at the studio react with teasing and rivalry. On the drive to the lot, Jack proposes to direct, write and produce the picture himself, which amuses Mary Livingstone and Rochester. At the studio, Jack runs into Danny Kaye, whose recent film success has stirred Jack's jealousy, and the two trade mock apologies. Jerry Wall then reveals that the studio has someone else in mind to play Jack in the picture.

Hollywood, California: a radio studio, a car driving to Warner Brothers, and the studio offices.

Listen for: Jack learning that Warner Brothers will make a film about his life, and Mr. Wall's surprise announcement at the end of the studio meeting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
