Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone trim their Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, but a series of mishaps with the lights, a bare wire and a stolen candy cane keeps the task from going smoothly. Rochester tries to repair the lights while Jack shows off his confidence about electricity. A policeman arrives to question Jack about an earlier disturbance at a department store, and later Phil Harris and Don Wilson join the household as the guests begin to gather. This episode, from the Jack Benny series, was first broadcast on December 24, 1944 on NBC and CBS Radio, and stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
