What happens
Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone try to get tickets to the Rose Bowl football game on New Year's Day 1954. After a New Year's Eve party, Jack calls several well-connected people at two in the morning for tickets, with no luck. He and Mary then ride with Rochester toward Pasadena, getting lost along the way. At the stadium they join a long ticket line, where Jack's impatience and a crowd of pushing fans cause trouble. Vendors, a scalper, and a counterfeit bill add to the mix. The program is an episode of The Jack Benny Program, broadcast in January 1954 on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Listen for: Jack's late-night phone calls for tickets and the long ticket line at the stadium.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
