What happens
Jack Benny is annoyed by his constant need to borrow things from his neighbor, Ronald Colman, while Rochester, Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Dennis Day move in and out of his home. Benny gets flour, butter and a cup from Colman, and the household bickers over a scrapbook, bad glue and a borrowed couch. Benny is determined to get Colman as a guest star on his radio show, offering him money to appear in a Shakespearean sketch. This Jack Benny episode was originally broadcast on January 16, 1949, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Benny, Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
