What happens
Jack Benny decides to trade in his old Maxwell and buy a new car, with his wife Mary Livingstone urging him on. Rochester handles the household mail and the drive, and the car's breakdowns and the salesmen's pitches create trouble from the start. Dennis Day and Phil Harris call with their own problems, and Jack's visit to a row of car dealers on Tigaroa brings a string of odd sales talk and mix-ups. The 1952 Jack Benny Program, broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio, stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
