What happens

Jack Benny hosts a party at his Beverly Hills home, and his guests Phil Harris, Mary Livingstone, Kenny Baker and Don Wilson gripe about the hot dogs and root beer served. The guests then tease one another over their bad dreams, their taste in hats and rugs, and their opinions of Benny's new house. Benny and the cast later perform a comic parody of MGM's boxing film The Crowd Roars, with Benny as a prizefighter, Mary Livingstone as his sweetheart and Phil Harris as his manager. The episode aired on November 6, 1938 on NBC and CBS Radio and starred Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Jack Benny's home in Beverly Hills, California, and later a comic boxing story set in a fictional fight.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
