What happens
Jack Benny, after a long season, gets ready for a heavy date. Before leaving, he is visited by his valet Rochester, his bandleader Bob Crosby, and announcer Don Wilson, and he receives a massage from a masseur who turns out to be a fraud. Benny's friend Dennis Day phones with news of house-hunting trips, and a mix-up leaves Benny's oil rubbing him the wrong way. Benny takes his date, Gertrude, to a French restaurant on the Paris sewer workers' night out. The series is Jack Benny, first broadcast on May 16, 1954, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
