What happens
Jack Benny takes his parrot Polly to a psychiatrist after she starts acting moody and trying to hatch a coconut. Before that, Jack, Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and Bob Crosby have lunch at a drugstore after rehearsal, where Jack has been giving the network an ultimatum. Rochester worries that Polly is unhappy, and Jack decides she may need a mate. The episode is part of the Jack Benny radio series, first broadcast on October 10, 1954, on NBC and CBS Radio.
A Los Angeles drugstore, a golf course, and a psychiatrist's office for animals.

Listen for: Jack's word association test with Polly at the psychiatrist's office.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
