What happens
Jack Benny wakes one morning in his Beverly Hills home and, while showering, mistakes a peeled potato for a bar of soap. His household staff and friends, including Mary Livingstone, Rochester and Dennis Day, drop in through the morning, and a bakery delivery brings more mix-ups over pastry names. A lawyer named Martin Dale then arrives claiming that a legacy of $5,000 from an aunt named Matilda is waiting for a Jack Benny. The episode is from the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on 1953-04-12 on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
